Register for Language Validation Makeup Test
Registration for the fall term Language Validation Makeup exams for Academic
Year 2010 will
close at 1600 on Friday 28 August 2009. The final period for exams is the
evening of the 28th. Makeup exams will be offered again in March 2010.
- Mandarin Chinese, French, German and Spanish
exams are administered by computer and can take up to 45 minutes to
complete (Chinese: up to 90 minutes). Dates for these exams are available on a
first-come, first-served basis.
- Modern Standard Arabic, Japanese and Russian exams are
paper and pencil tests which require you to read and write the language. You are allowed to spend up to 90 minutes on these exams split over two sessions if necessary.

You cannot attempt validation in a given language...
- ...more than twice total, typically once during Plebe Summer and once
later
- ...after taking courses in that language for credit at USNA
